“Tourism will be Greece’s Economic Saviour” Panos Paleologos live on CNBC

Last week Panos Paleologos, Founder & President of HotelBrain was invited to review the last summer season in Greece, reporting on the newest facts and figures.

Appearing live on the popular CNBC show ‘Closing Bell’, Mr. Paleologos admitted that this was a “record year for Greece, with more than 20 million arrivals”, emphasising that “these numbers restored optimism and confidence”.

Describing Athens as “a peaceful and safe city break destination”, Mr. Paleologos also referred to the 30% increase in foreign visitors to the Grecian capital. At the same time he reiterated that the room rates in Greece in general show “value for money and the tourism industry there is better than ever”.  On this subject Mr Paleologos further enthused: “we consider traveller’s preference towards Greece this year to be a vote of trust. Therefore we all feel responsible for ensuring that they have a once-in-a-lifetime experience here.”
